3-way Pressure Reducing Valves

With full nominal width secondary pressure relief

Our 3-way pressure reducing valves with proportional or mechanical adjustment guarantee great stability combined with low minimal loss.

Bucher Hydraulics is launching its highly versatile 3-way pressure reducing valves to the market in a new design - with proportional or mechanical adjustment.

These high-performance pressure reducing valves can be supplied either as screw-in cartridge valves with M27x2 threads or as sandwich valves in the nominal sizes 6 and 10. These valves feature full-flow secondary pressure relief in connection 1 -> 3 as well as optimum characteristic curve behaviour.

Description

These 3-way pressure reducing valves with proportional or mechanical adjustment are high-performance screw-in cartridges with M27x2 threads. They are applied as functional cartridges with NS 6 and 10 sandwich valves offering a choice of function in operational circuits P and/or A with an integrated bypass check valve. With their leak-proof pilot operation the proportional models the required secondary pressure (connection 1) is continuously variable dependent upon the electrical target value. The secondary pressure in models with mechanical adjustment is limited to the preset pressure value independently of the input pressure (connection 2). If pressure in connection 1 exceeds the specified value the control piston opens connection 1 → 3 and works as a full nominal width pressure limiter. Up to 5 pressure levels are available in order to obtain precise pressure values throughout the required pressure range. In order to achieve great stability in vibration susceptible systems the pilot oil (connection 4) in the proportional models is fed back to the tank at zero pressure. The exterior components on all the cartridges are zinc-plated and chromated (free of VI chrome) which means they are also suitable for applications under extreme external conditions. The sandwich body is zinc phosphated. The slip-on solenoids are easily replaced without having to access wet areas and can be pivoted 360°. With these 3-way pressure reducing valves Bucher Hydraulics are offering their customers even more valve functions with low performance losses, combined with optimum characteristic curves.

The previous DRVA-7…, SDRVB7…, DRVRB-7… und SDRVRC-7… 3-way pressure reducing valve models have been replaced by this range.

Focus on Applications

  • These 3-way pressure reducing cartridges are primarily suited to mobile and stationary applications where reducing system pressure and controlling secondary pressure in full nominal width are of the greatest essence.

  • Thanks to their low leakage direct acting 3-way pressure reducing cartridges are ideally suited to applications in units with accumulators.

Functions

  • 3-way pressure reducing valve, direct acting or pilot operated

  • Proportionally or mechanically adjustable

  • Function in the P or A line (sandwich version)

  • Available with in-line body (threaded ports)

Major features

  • Secondary pressure relief for full nominal flow volume

  • Optimum characteristic curve behaviour
