The NG16 Leak-proof Proportional Throttle Cartridge

The “big brother” of the NG10 throttle cartridge that has already established itself successfully on the market guarantees high stability in vibrationprone systems.

With its new NG16 leak-proof proportional throttle cartridge Bucher Hydraulics has commenced marketing the “big brother” of the current NG10 throttle cartridge which is already being manufactured in series production. This high-performance screw-in cartridge is very convincing with its low head loss at high flow rates, leak tightness and high functional stability in vibration-prone systems. These are the crucial criteria nowadays for moving heavy loads in a controlled and sensitive manner.

Description

The proportional throttle cartridges in the “MVRPSB” model range are pilot operated high-performance screw-in cartridges with a nominal size of 16 with an M33 x 2 thread suitable for mounting cavities to ISO 7789. Its low head loss at high flow-rates combined with great functional stability in vibration-prone systems characterizes this leak-proof proportional throttle cartridge. The required flow rate can be set at infinitely variable levels subject to the electrical target value. Its optimum release of low flow rates, in combination with pressure compensation cartridges from our company, allows heavy loads to be moved in a very sensitive, loadcompensated and controlled manner. This is, for example, a requirement in fork-lifts which must be capable of lowering loads gently and pinpoint lifting operations. Due to its excellent leak-proof qualities a lifted load can be held up in position for several hours.

Series production of the NG10 proportional throttle cartridge a success story

For several years now the NG10 proportional throttle cartridge which has the same properties except for size and key data has been used by our customers for various applications. Our findings have been more than positive since this screw-in cartridge has excelled with its safe operation over the entire pressure and flow-rate range at high pressure differences. Its excellent functional stability in vibration-prone systems is a further benefit which is also reflected in the new NG16 throttle cartridge.
