Bucher Hydraulics has several model ranges of "low-watt" valves that feature very low power consumption thanks to their 8-watt solenoid coils. This provides enormous benefits when valves are operated directly by a PLC or bus controller. By connecting a valve directly to the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), no other electrical components (such as relays, etc.) are necessary. The low power consumption involved in operating a valve allows several valves to be controlled with a standard PLC controller. These valves save energy, protect the environment and reduce operating and investment costs on a permanent basis.

2/2 seat valves with 8-watt coils are used as pilot valves in the size 16 family of products, for example. This enables very high performance in a variety of functions, as well as low power consumption.
