The 3-way inverse shuttle valve blocks either inlet A or B. Port C is always connected to the lower pressure. The balls are mechanically linked, ensuring that simultaneous closing of both balls is prevented.
The ball-type shuttle valve design is highly robust, very leak-tight, and insensitive to contamination. The valve seat, ball, and housing are hardened. Sealing of the valve in the installation bore is achieved by a metallic sealing edge and an O-ring.
